Social media is the buzzword these days, and is becoming a staple of effective marketing in the housing industry. It seems like everyone has a Facebook page, a LinkedIn, Twitter account or a favorite blog they read.
Social media, like signage to your apartment or condominium community, steers prospects to your web site and blog, and builds awareness and third party credibility while improving your online reputation. In this lively, interactive presentation, find out how to utilize these new tools and technologies to connect to potential renters and condo buyers and get them talking about your community. The end result is increased occupancy and sales.
Join me (Mitch Levinson), Jack Williams of Kairos Development, Michelle Betchner of Alliance Residential and Eric Brown of Urbane Apartments for this hour long Social Media Marketing Seminar at the International Builder Show in Las Vegas Wednesday, January 20 – 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at The Apartment and Condo Meeting Place, North 254, Level II

Carol – great recap! I also firmly believe that “Quality is more important than Quantity”.
Having the right conversation with the right people is what matters. Less clutter to cut through in 2010.

You are dead on! The mood at IBS was much more positive. We are DONE with waiting for the market to change and taking control of the future and the industry’s success. Jim and Jeff were great fun and the overall feeling of confidence made the trip to Vegas worth every dime! I found the overall buzz about social media and it’s use to boost traffic and create connections with potential buyers very valuable. I for one am riding the wave!

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to S. Robert August and Daniel Levitan at the MIRM Pro-Ed class on Monday discuss their ideas on how to market yourself and your services and/or products differently in 2010.
Tuesday was filled with more excitement and learning because I had the privilege to attend Marketing Essentials taught by Jerry Costanzo and Douglas Swallow, 110 Marketing Ideas for the Year 2010 taught by S. Robert August, Bonnie Alfriend, Kay Green and Brian Flook, Designing Product to Compete and Win Against Resale Homes taught by John Schleimer, Deryl Patterson and Mollie Elkman and The Art of Networking taught by Donna Oliver and Gregory Zick. The only way that I can describe the feeling I had after being in the presence of these fantastic individuals is by saying, WOW! I learned so much from them in their class and just talking to them one on one during the IBS.
It got even better for me on Wednesday because my morning started by attending the Super Sales Rally and what a rally it was! WOW, what a line up of speakers and what a wealth of information they shared with those of us in attendance. I can’t say thank you enough to Myers Barnes, Melinda Brody, Jeff Shore, Meredith Oliver, Jim Suth, John Palumbo for getting me pumped up for 2010! The duet by Jeff and Jim was fantastic and the buzz in the auditorium was spectacular during and after all of the presentations.
I ended my day attending the Red Hot New Home Sales and Marketing Solutions class taught by Myers Barnes, Tom Nelson and Jim Adams. WOW what a way to end my day by getting valuable information on how to use social media to improve, increase and energize my business.
I am excited about the possibilities for me in 2010 and as you can tell I thoroughly enjoyed my time at IBS. Paying money to attend IBS is always a great investment for me and I highly recommend that you attend the next IBS if you can. You won’t be disappointed, that’s for sure!

Thanks for the plug, the truth is always needed even when not well received (which is the topic of my upcoming blog at http://www.residentialmarketingblog.com/).
You should also have mentioned that I credited you during the program as one of the industry leaders in social media marketing.

The builder show exceeded my expectations and they were already pretty high. Social media and “take action” internet presence was among the most important ideas I walked away with.
Times are changing fast and it is important to stay on top of the market. IBS sure helps do that.

I was so excited to hear that Bonnie Alfriend featured one of my blogs from the Capital Homes website at her presentation at IBS! Wish I could’ve been there to see it!
