mRELEVANCE and Hometown Headlines announce Fall dates for Social Media Lab in Rome, Georgia. This hands-on social media workshop will be held at the Georgia Northwestern Technical College Conference Center on the Floyd campus in room H101-A.
If you want to learn to effectively engage in social media marketing to build your business this is the course for you. Are you confused by Friends, Fans and Followers? Do you wish someone would just walk you through the process of building all the basic social networking sites? Well, help is here!
Social Media Lab helps large and small business owners learn how to effectively use social media to reach existing customers AND build relationships with new ones. Engage in the conversation with this exciting form of permission based marketing.
Social Media Lab is a four-week course. Each week we will cover building a different site in a 2 hour lab. Get started with the right sites and strategy with tips and insight from social media experts. All sessions are from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., with registration at 8:30 a.m.

Twitter – create a Twitter account and learn proper twittiquette. Tweeting is like text messaging to the world, just don’t say anything that you don’t want Grandma to see.

Linked In – build a personal profile, participate in groups and learn the ins and outs for getting the most out of this online rolodex and resume.
Thursday, October 22
Facebook – create a Fan page for your business and discover ways to promote it to your friends and customers — this is one online cocktail party that you don’t want to miss.
Wednesday, October 28
Blogging – learn the basics of how to blog on WordPress. Your blog is the foundation of your social media program. A well-built blog should be one of your Web sites top 10 referral sources, and who doesn’t want more traffic?

Tickets for the four part series – $129, $149 and $169 – register early for best prices. Individual sessions are $59/ each. Parking is FREE. Participants should bring their laptops and come prepared to learn social media basics.
