Public Relations Success for Avenue Realty

Avenue Realty in CurbedLast fall, mRELEVANCE landed Avenue Realty as a public relations client. This is an exciting client for many reasons, but our managing partner Carol Morgan is really pumped about working with Shane Little, owner of Avenue Realty, because she attended Oglethorpe University with him. To show Avenue Realty that we could “walk the talk,” we proved our PR skills by garnering press right off the bat.

As a client-centered realty company, Avenue Realty wanted our first project to be spreading the word about the community Clarke Hill in Decatur for its client Domain Custom Homes. A boutique neighborhood of classically styled homes priced from high $600,000s and adjacent to a wildlife conservation area, the community is definitely unique (with beyond gorgeous homes, we might add). We pitched the story to our connections at Curbed Atlanta and Atlanta Agent Magazine with great success. The Curbed article included multiple photos and explored the community’s name (Clarke Hill was named for Caroline McKinney Clarke, author of The Story of Decatur), perks and thriving location, while the Atlanta Agent article posted our release.

Next, we helped Avenue Realty promote Walsh Design’s new homes in Atlanta. These design-focused spaces are created by Jim and Justin Walsh, a father and son team, and feature thoughtful layouts and handcrafted details in prime locations, such as Reynoldstown and Grant Park. After Avenue Realty and Walsh Design approved our news release, we pitched it to Curbed Atlanta (that, apparently, has a thing for the modern farmhouse style). Homes with farmhouse influences, like those of Walsh Design, have folksy-urban exteriors with rustic yet modern interiors. The story was shared in the true Curbed Atlanta way – with tons of beautiful photos.

Curbed Atlanta’s 52,290 monthly viewership and Atlanta Agent’s readership (comprised mostly of Realtors – who can take their clients to buy these home!) were able to learn more about Clarke Hill and Walsh Design’s homes. In addition to online buzz for Avenue Realty, the stories also led to more foot traffic to the homes the company markets and sells.

Working with the media to score stories is still a successful marketing tactic. mRELEVANCE pitches and scores public relations stories for clients every day.
