2014: The Year of Social Media Campaigns

-

Social media campaigns are one of the most effective ways to reach audiences and increase customer engagement. By incorporating campaigns into interactive platforms, users are encouraged to “like,” follow or use their creativity – sometimes for the chance to win a prize!

Pinspring Dream HomeSince the start of the new year, mRELEVANCE has successfully completed social media campaigns for several clients. These campaigns have been ideal for bringing more awareness to our clients through increased followers on social media sites, website traffic and brand recognition.

In January, we launched French Brothers’ first ever interactive Pinterest contest, “Pinspiring Dream Home.” The contest allowed participants to get creative and craft a dream home board, competing with each other to win a $250 Home Depot gift card. The campaign was able to increase engagement on the builder’s newly created Pinterest page and also showcased design options available when building a new home, all of which resulted in 1,528 Facebook likes (an increase of 40 percent) and 103 followers on the French Brothers’ brand new Pinterest page.

Additionally, we used a similar approach for Traton Homes’ “Pinterest Perfect Model Pinterest Perfect Model HomeHome” campaign. The contest encouraged participants to utilize the #PinterestPerfectModel hashtag and to use photos from the builder’s new Lafayette Square model home board for inspiration. The campaign not only increased traffic and involvement, but it also allowed Traton Homes to stimulate interest in their Lafayette Square community. Ultimately, Traton Homes gained 170 Pinterest followers, an 88 percent increase, and 290 Facebook likes, a 20 percent increase.

Keystone Custom Homes Pinterest ContestIn early April, Keystone Custom Homes launched their “Decorate Keystone’s Model Home for Spring” campaign, encouraging participants to create a spring Pinterest board with seasonal decorating ideas. Participants were required to post at least 10 images, utilize the hashtag #DecorateKCHHomeForSpring on each pin and post their boards to Keystone’s Facebook page in order to be considered for the winning prize – a $250 Pottery Barn gift card. At the end of the contest, mRELEVANCE built an app on Facebook for users to vote for the overall contest winner. To encourage participation, a $50 Pottery Barn gift card was awarded to a randomly selected voter. This social media campaign resulted in Keystone Custom Homes gaining 353 Facebook likes, 22 Pinterest followers and 93 Pinterest likes, while 278 liked the contest board on Pinterest.

Another client, SouthEast Real Estate Investments, took another approach. The interactive campaign “On Target for Real Estate” was hosted on the company’s website. Visitors could opt to answer a quick,On Target for Real Estate three question survey for the chance to win a $100 Target gift card. The survey was promoted through traditional media, as well as the site’s social media accounts for rebranding purposes and to increase traffic to the new website. Over the last three months of the campaign, SouthEast Real Estate Investments has gained 436 Facebook likes and 46 Twitter followers and has attracted over 2,000 unique viewers to its website.
