Attract more friends, fans and followers and create engagement and excitement. Google+ recently rolled out some big changes, for both users and pages. Google+ is Google’s social search network that has been integrated with all the majority of its other services, including search. Here’s the inside scoop on what you can expect to see:
- Cover Photos: You now have an even bigger section of real estate to promote your business. Cover photos can now be up to 2120 x 1192 pixels and they display in 16 x 9 when fully expanded. The new cover photos also have better aspect ratios, meaning the the photo’s width and height is more proportional allowing your business can shine even brighter.
- Editing: Edit your business’ information more easily with the new separate cards for “People,” “Story,” “Communities,” “Contact Information,” and “Links” in the about section of your page. You can edit each section of information individually, and choose which audiences are able to see each one.
- Local Reviews: Pages and users now have a dedicated local reviews tab underneath your cover photo. As a business, make sure to encourage your happy customers to leave positive reviews on Google+. You can also leave feedback on and promote other local businesses in your area.
- Multi-column Layout: Google+ has followed in the footsteps of Facebook and Pinterest with a new multi-column layout that helps draw more attention to photos and helps visitors easily scan the page for content that appeals to them.
All four of these changes allow companies better promotional opportunities with Google+ and Google. So, be sure to take advantage of all of the ways that the social search engine’s network allows you to promote your brand.
