From Jillian Clarke:
mRELEVANCE was the perfect place to do my first internship. While I was excited to get the position, I remember being nervous about what exactly to expect. Looking back, this internship has been more valuable than I could have ever imagined, and it has given me a whole new perspective on the marketing, communications and public relations field.
One of my favorite parts about interning at mRELEVANCE was the wonderful people I had the privilege of working with. Since day one, everyone at the office welcomed me and made me feel like part of the team. As an intern, it can be intimidating to ask questions, but everyone’s great attitudes and willingness to help me learn made my experience even more enjoyable.
Throughout the semester, I was given assignments and projects to complete that had meaning. I wasn’t doing stereotypical intern work. I wrote press releases and blogs, created social media calendars and marketing materials that were actually used. Seeing my work published online for the first time was so cool!
If you are a college student looking for an internship, I highly recommend interning at Marketing RELEVANCE. Thanks to this internship, I have gained great additions to my portfolio, enhanced my knowledge of marketing, communications and public relations and developed useful skills that I will take with me.
