social media marketing campaignIt is no surprise to the team at mRELEVANCE, LLC that 83-percent of marketers indicate that social media is important for their business (Social Media Examiner), and 80-percent of US social network users prefer to connect to brands through Facebook (State of Inbound Marketing, 2012). Social media is an integral part of the successful marketing campaigns mRELEVANCE creates for clients and the agency itself.

”Social media is an important component of effective marketing campaigns. Companies need to have well-maintained social media accounts with well-defined goals to reach and engage with target audiences. We use social media as a method to drive traffic to client’s websites,” explained Carol Morgan, managing partner of mRELEVANCE, LLC. “Today’s buyers look many different places before buying and social media is increasing becoming one of those integral places.”

mRELEVANCE recently ran a social media marketing campaign and contest titled “Dress Your Desk.” The marketing campaign was designed to share the agency’s culture, increase engagement on the mRELEVANCE Facebook page and showcase the talented staff moving forward.

The social media campaign doubled as a company contest to engage creativity. The campaign ran for two weeks, and each post to the mRELEVANCE Facebook page was boosted with $10 to increase traffic. In a matter of two weeks, the mRELEVANCE Facebook page fan base increased by 10-percent. The contest posts garnered 937 likes on the page posts. A total of 92 comments were made on the contest posts, and they were shared a total of 28 times. Engagement on the mRELEVANCE Facebook page increased by 40-percent and the posts reached a total of 2,000 people!

The social media campaign was launched by adding a “Dress Your Desk” graphic to the mRELEVANCE Facebook page. Each team member was assigned a specific day to decorate their desk, take pictures and post them to the Facebook page. Visitors to the page were asked to “like” their favorite dressed desk. At the end of the contest the winning desk was chosen by popular vote.

The contest was a huge success; it gave clients, partners and potential clients a peak into each team member’s personality. Most importantly, it created a buzz for the agency on social media.
