mRELEVANCE wins two Phoenix Awards for social media projectsmRELEVANCE, LLC was recently honored with two awards at the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Georgia Chapter’s 2015 Annual Phoenix Awards Celebration. The awards were presented to mRELEVANCE in recognition of the successful social media projects created on behalf of clients Essex Homes and Keystone Custom Homes. The Phoenix Awards recognizes projects and programs that demonstrate excellence in the public relations profession in Georgia.

The “Twice as Nice” tax promotion for client Essex Homes received a Phoenix Award for social media for consumer products. For this project, mRELEVANCE wanted to take tax time, a time of year that most people dislike, and turn it into something positive. And what could be more positive than earning some extra cash? With the purchase of a new home from Essex Homes, buyers in Columbia, South Carolina were given the opportunity to double their tax refund up to $5,000. In addition to a variety of marketing and public relations tactics used, social media was implemented to bring awareness to the tax promotion and to encourage potential buyers to purchase a new home directly. As a result, Essex Homes’ social media presence saw an immediate increase in interaction and engagement, and the Facebook page grew by more than 100 likes. The “Twice as Nice” tax promotion helped Essex Homes sell a total of 68 homes in March and contributed to its highest ever sales month in Columbia. Additionally, the tax incentive assisted the South Carolina home builder in leading the Columbia homebuilding market in building permits for the first quarter of 2015.

An Award of Excellence for social media for consumer services was awarded to mRELEVANCE on behalf of client Keystone Custom Homes (KCH). The “Say ‘I Do’ to Your New Home” campaign was a Pinterest contest launched by mRELEVANCE to build the Pennsylvania-based home builder’s online presence and create awareness for its wedding program. Potential buyers were encouraged to engage with KCH on Pinterest and learn more about the wedding program for a chance to win a $250 gift card to Bed, Bath and Beyond.  The “Say ‘I Do’” campaign resulted in more than 100 new followers to the KCH Pinterest page, 380 followers to the contest board, 50 contest entries and 121 new likes to the Facebook page. Not only did “Say ‘I Do’” increase awareness of the program and increase KCH’s social media traffic by 20 percent, but it also gained national attention in print and online.
