Clever Marketing Campaign Nets Home Site Sales

marketing campaign Essex Homes partnered with mRELEVANCE to create a pipeline for home site sales at a creative event at Woodcreek Crossing in Elgin, South Carolina. “Stake Your Claim” encouraged potential homeowners to attend a weekend event and reserve their perfect home site. Like a scene from the Land Rush of 1889, home buyers could literally “stake their claim” by placing a family placard on the lot of their choice. Essex Homes’ Stake Your Claim event presented two days of touring the “territory” of Woodcreek Crossing; resulting in one home sale, one lot reservation and 28 interested home buyers despite torrential rain.

Held outside under a tent on April 25 and 26, the event was promoted through post cards, email, blogging and social media.

“This event presented a means of attracting potential homeowners in a fashion that proved to be entertaining and enjoyable for families even with terrible weather,” said Carol Morgan, managing partner of mRELEVANCE. “When a company is capable of achieving sales goals while portraying the information in a fun and different way, it is a win for both the company and the community participating.”
