Episode 35 of Marketing Relevance’s Staying Relevant Podcast is now available for listening. Marketing Relevance President, Mitch Levinson, speaks with Ed Siebert, founder of Village Law Offices LLC. Ed’s Bio:

Ed started his law education at John Marshall Law School and graduated in 2006. Took the bar in 2007 and joined the U.S. District Court Northern District of Illinois in 2008. However, after many years working for different law firms, about 1.5 years ago, he decided to open his own law practice.  Thus Village Law Offices was born.

When someone decides to use his services, what makes him stand out, is his knowledge, style and personality. One of Ed’s best traits is working at keeping everyone calm during whatever they are working on plus keeping it light while they solve the problem together. 

During episode 35, Mitch learns how Ed’s brand is unique because he chose to use the word village. The reasoning is simple. He is located in the suburbs where villages are located, and he wants his clients and prospects to feel like it’s a local business that happens to be a law firm.

Target market  

Ed explains to Mitch how his target marketing is relatively simple and broad. Local people who need shelter and eventually pass away. Furthermore, he has helped financial planners, home health care, accountants, realtors and people who help consumers manage their personal decisions and assets. 

Having a website with measurable metrics, posting on social media and referral services has helped Ed continue to grow his practice. Plus, Ed’s outgoing personality has helped him be successful. Getting out into the community, sponsorships and not being afraid to talk with prospects about his business are some other marketing tactics that he uses to grow his practice. Trust is an aspect he values when it comes to his current clients and potential ones. Ed wants them to trust him and the work he does for them. To Ed, his clients come first even with the methods of communication. Whatever is most convenient for them whether that is texting, phone calls, video calls or in-person, is how contact will occur.
