This morning Google unveiled at their big search event at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art during their big search event the next evolution in how people search the web. It is called Google Instant, and it has to be seen to be believed. Soon, Google will stream instant results to the search page as you type. The new method will be rolled out to the United States this week, and it combines instant results, predictions by the search engine, and the ability to scroll to search.
Of course, the question is, what impact does this have on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) on your web site? The obvious answer is that how you use keywords, and what words you target are more important than ever. Now, with Google creating results on the fly, the very beginning of your keyword phrases is just as important as the phrases themselves.
If, for example, the keyword phrase you are looking to target is Chicagoland Real Estate, real estate results begin to appear well after many results for Chicago and Chicagoland have already passed before the searchers eyes. Capturing your audience's interest early has now become more important than ever.
Make sure to try the new Google Instant and see for yourself.
