Recently the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) announced the winners for this year’s Association Excellence Awards which honor superior local Home Builders Association’s programming and outreach. The Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders (GBAHB) was recognized with the award for Best Web 2.0 Program which Marketing RELEVANCE developed for their Parade of Homes website.
Earlier this year, Marketing RELEVANCE partnered with GBAHB to revamp their Parade of Homes program making the entire process much simpler and more effective. Parade of Homes programs traditionally are used as a method to promote community builders and new homes, and the process for organizing an event of this magnitude was arduous.
Mitch Levinson, president of Marketing RELEVANCE says “swapping out cumbersome and time consuming paperwork for streamlined website functionality was the obvious choice to help GBAHB spend less time on administration and more time showcasing members and promoting their event. “
Director of Sales and Promotions for GBAHB, Shannon Humenansky, shared that theirs is the largest new home tour in the state. Thousands of potential buyers walk through each home on the tour and this leads to increased bottom lines for them and their builders. As it takes an abundance of teamwork to effectively manage and execute an event of this scale, the Marketing RELEVANCE website helped facilitate the process of parade entries, including the judging process. This type of overall programming can benefit all HBAs by increasing non-dues revenue and improving community outreach, which ultimately leads to increased ROI.
Other HBAs can learn from GBAHB and how their experience with Marketing RELEVANCE helped them overcome an antiquated system and move towards better fluidity and bottom line realization.
