Morgan Inducted as Chair of 2014 Professional Women in Building Council

Morgan Inducted as Chair of PWB CouncilCarol Morgan, managing partner of mRELEVANCE, LLC, was recently sworn in during the International Builder’s Show as the 2014 Chair of the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) Professional Women in Building (PWB) Council.

As chair of the PWB Council, Morgan will manage the council’s business and represent the interests of the council members throughout NAHB. Her year as national chair is already underway and she has begun working toward the goals she hopes to accomplish this year: building a broader base of leadership, achieving full integration of PWB into NAHB, increasing council membership, raising money for BUILD-PAC and increasing the number of PWB councils at the local level.

Morgan states, “PWB makes a difference in our industry and I am honored to be a part of the leadership of this group. I look forward to serving the members of this organization and am eager to work with these incredible women to address the issues impacting women in the industry, as well as to grow the organization nationwide and further expand our reach.”

Morgan has been involved in PWB at the national level for several years. She has served in a number of positions including vice chair in 2013, Region B trustee in 2012 and 2013 and communications chair in 2010 and 2011. At the local level she was instrumental in the founding of the Atlanta PWB chapter, which is now the largest local council in the nation. She adds, “It was fitting that David Ellis, executive officer of the Greater Atlanta Home Builder’s Association performed the ceremony to induct me. David and I have worked together often throughout the years, and he has always been there to support my adventures.”

The NAHB Professional Women in Building Council is the voice of women in the building industry, dedicated to promoting industry professionalism and supporting our members at the local, state and national levels by offering networking and educational opportunities, legislative awareness and outreach, and professional and personal development

With more than 20 years of public relations experience, Morgan is the author of top-selling BuilderBooks “Social Media 3.0,” the founder of the nationally-ranked and award-winning and the managing partner of Marketing RELEVANCE, a marketing, communication and interactive agency with offices in Atlanta and Chicago.
